I am a nomad. I was born in France, and raised in Morocco. Now I live in Guatemala. I studied in New York because I wanted to know if I could make it there. I studied Literature because words are what I love most, aside from art.
The places I have lived have formed me - the earth tones of Moroccan pottery, the pop art and high fashion models of New York, the vibrant colors of Guatemalan street markets.
I paint to express myself, to know myself. Colors make me feel alive - open.
I look for moments of vulnerability and capture them: the imperfect stain on a canvas, the way someone shadows their face from an oncoming stare.
My process is organic: I love the element of surprise. Colors inform textures, which build upon layers.
Art for me is a truth I discover as I paint it.
Of my notable accomplishments, I debuted in JUANNIO 2020, the most important art auction in Latin America, where my piece tripled in price.
