Sarah Sky (1986) is a visual artist who was born in France, studied Literature in New York, and now lives in Guatemala.
The places where she has lived have shaped her as an artist and continue to influence her work. She paints to express herself and to know herself. Her works are made up of contrasts - between grey, vivid, and pastel tones, between organic and geometric forms - and rely heavily on water stain techniques, which represent the passage and unpredictability of time, two elements that contribute to the value of the present.
Her body of work, as a whole, explores the themes of detachment, transitory identities, and the chaos of being alive.
Among her notable achievements is her debut in JUANNIO 2020, one of the most important art auctions in Latin America, where her piece tripled in price.
